GAME DESIGN
Featured Project: Digital Jam Session
Video:
Overview:
This project was inspired by Nintendo games like Super Mario Galaxy and Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. In these games, performing certain actions causes sound effects to play in tune with the background music. This project emulates that behavior, and allows the user to play notes on four different instruments that fit in with the chord progression of the background music.
Highlights:
- Written in C++ using the Raylib library for graphics rendering and audio playback
- Implemented using a custom component-oriented architecture
- Real-time chord progression tracking
VIDEO GAME MUSIC ARRANGEMENTS
Featured Project: Super Mario World – Game Over

Digital Mockup Created in MuseScore 3
Live Performance at the Reno Video Game Symphony’s Spring 2025 concert
Overview:
This is one of my jazz band arrangements for the Reno Video Game Symphony. It was a creative challenge in expanding a six-second game jingle into a longer-form big band piece. It contains sections inspired by the works of Naoto Kubo, Soyo Oka, and Vince Guaraldi.
Highlights:
- Arranged in MuseScore 3
- “Small” Big-band arrangement includes full sax section, two trombones, two trumpets and rhythm section.
- Original saxophone soli section
- Gameplay montage edited for in-venue projectors edited in VEGAS
ORIGINAL MUSIC
Featured Project: Orange Canyon
Listen:
Overview:
This piece was inspired by Akifumi Tada’s score for Bomberman 64. It’s the theme for a theoretical new old-west themed level. It is written to match the upbeat action nature of Bomberman 64 and was composed using the soundfont from the original game.
Highlights:
- Composed in FL Studio
- Implements the soundfont heard in Bomberman 64
- Written to loop properly if implemented in a game
RECORDING
Featured Project: Carson Street Ragtime Band Showcase Medley
Listen:
Overview:
This recording was an assignment for UNR’s Recording and MIDI techniques class. I used this assignment as an opportunity to record my friends’ band in the university’s sound studio. The Carson Street Ragtime Band was kind enough to arrange a medley of their repertoire for me to record.
Responsibilities:
- Microphone selection and setup for drum kit, trumpet, piano, banjo and vocals
- Recorded and edited using Pro Tools
- Mixed using an SSL AWS 948 Delta Analog Mixing Console
